Guest Ratings & Reviews
The hotel offers a decent size room with a nice bathroom, but some aspects need updating to match the modern refurbishment. The proximity to the elevator shaft is a downside, but the staff, especially the night porter, was very friendly, making me feel safe during my stay. The location is excellent, just off the main street with numerous restaurants and bars nearby. The dining experience had a good selection despite some minor issues, and the hotel is adjacent to the Exhibition Centre, making it convenient for events.
I had a cozy stay overlooking the water where I could see the ships in the North Sea before reaching Aberdeen. The room was nice and warm although a bit tired. Unfortunately, there was no heating at all, which was a downside. The service was a mix of leaving plates piling up and being efficient and friendly in other aspects. The location, while good for the North of Aberdeen, may not be ideal if you need to be closer to the city center. The dining experience was overall excellent, especially the extensive breakfast choices. The facilities were decent, but some areas felt a bit worn out.
My stay at the hotel had its pros and cons. While the rooms were fine, comfortable, and quiet enough for a good night's sleep, they did feel a bit dated and were very hot overnight, which affected our rest. On the bright side, the service was quick and friendly, with the staff even offering us a great upgrade deal for meals. The location, though helpful, was more suitable for specific areas of Aberdeen, like the exhibition center, and may not be ideal for the city center trip. The dining experience, particularly the breakfast quality, was a highlight, even if not everything went perfectly. Overall, it was a decent stay with room for improvement.
The hotel room was a bit small for such a popular location and felt stuffy even without the heat on. Despite the narrow layout, the bed was cozy, and the room was quiet with a powerful shower, hot bath, and a large 32-inch LCD TV. Service was excellent, offering an upgrade for a small fee to include breakfast and a 3-course dinner. The staff was polite and efficient, making our stay enjoyable. The location was perfect for attending a concert at the adjacent AEC, although it attracted some noise from car enthusiasts. The dining experience offered a variety of options at a reasonable price. The facilities were well-kept. All in all, a decent stay with some minor drawbacks.
